Pre-Medical Sciences Academy

The LSMS Medical Academy is a choice program offered by Lake Shore Middle School and the Palm Beach County School District in the Glades.  The instructor is Dr. Corinella aka Dr. C.  Dr. Corinella has taught the LSMS Medical Program for the last 7 years.

Lake Shore has been preparing students for a future in the medical field since 2010.  Students learn skills through hands-on activities such as dissecting and CPR.  They also learn about safety and the proper precautions that must be taken to keep themselves and their patients safe and so much more. 

Below is a breakdown by year of what the students are taught.

6th Grade

  • Laws and Rules of Medicine

Students who attend Lake Shore Medical Academy usually continue their medical education at Glades Central Community High School, but there are many other medical academies available to them in the Palm Beach County School District if they move out of the Glades area.  If your student thinks they might be interested in a career in the medical field, it is important to sign them up early.
