On February 4th, 2022 Lake Shore Middle School was surprised with a huge donation of paperback books. Some of the book's newer titles included:
- I Survived the Shark Attacks of 1916 by Lauren Tarshis
- How Full is Your Bucket? Positive Strategies for School and Life by Tom Rath and Audra Wallace
- Taking Sides by Gary Soto
- The Rescuers Kids Who Risked Everything to Save Others by Allan Zullo
- The Voyage of the Frog by Gary Paulsen
- War Horse by Michael Morpurgo
- I am Malala How One Girl Stood Up for Education and Changed the World by Malala Yousafzai
- How I Became a Ghost by Tim Tingle
Then they included the classics which included such titles as:
- The Raven and Other Poems by Edgar Allan Poe
- A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
- Old Yeller by Fred Gipson
- The Time Machine by H.G. Wells
The above was just a few of the titles Lake Shore received from the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County. Dr. Gibbons and the students of Lake Shore Middle School want to thank the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County for this wonderful gift.
